mind your body

Joseph Pilates wrote that 'physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness'. It follows that in today's stressful environment, Pilates has become a necessity rather than an indulgence for many of its followers.

how Pilates could benefit you
enable your body to move more efficiently
correct posture and enhance flexibility
improve core strength and stamina
promote grace and ease of movement
assist with injury rehabilitation
relax, recharge, refocus

one-to-one

Ideal for beginners and recommended for those with specific needs or objectives that require a high degree of exercise modification or targeted work. One-to-one sessions are particularly popular with sports and fitness enthusiasts looking to improve core strength and correct muscular imbalance, which is a leading cause of bad posture and injury.

group lessons

At Studio One, group sessions consist of hands-on teaching a relaxing studio environment. The use of small equipment, including stability balls, makes class format dynamic and varied. Staff welness sessions for schools and companies are also available on-site for convenience.

Antenatal & postnatal

Antenatal Pilates prepares the body for labour and its impact on pelvic floor integrity. The numerous benefits of a progressive exercise strategy before, and after, labour include improved core stability and the prevention and, in many cases, correction of diastasis recti (abdominal separation).
